Every morning · AM Text + audio · 9 min Made for one person only

La Mesa

Your day, told for you, every morning. Before you open your inbox.

A personal daily program, in text and audio. Not a newsletter, not a news digest. Your world, your industry, your calendar, your inbox and your follow-ups, interpreted for the only person who will ever hear it: you.

01 · The first hour

When you run the company, the day starts on someone else's terms.

WhatsApp overflowing. The email that ate yesterday afternoon. Group chats where the important things drown between memes. Meeting notes nobody reads again. Follow-ups that die quietly until they explode.

The first hour sets the tone for the whole day. Today, your inbox decides it. It could be decided by a program made for you.

You open your phone. 84 chats, 31 emails, 4 group chats on fire.

Half an hour later you know everything that's urgent and nothing that matters.

With La Mesa, 6:40 am

Your program is waiting: 9 minutes, with your name on it, in audio or text.

You open the inbox when you decide, already knowing what matters.

02 · The rundown

What plays at your table, every morning.

Every edition follows a fixed rundown. Some sections fill with what's public, interpreted for you. The others switch on when you connect your things, and only then.

This is how it reads. This is how it sounds.

This is an illustrative edition, with a made-up name. Yours carries the one thing I can't invent: your context.

Cold open

Andrés, good morning. You have three fronts on today's calendar and only one moves the needle. I'll give it to you straight, and by the end you'll have what you need to walk in ready.

The world, applied to you

Last night Anthropic shipped a feature that lets a model run a complete process end to end, with no one supervising it step by step.

For you this isn't abstract tech: the demand planning that eats three days of your team's week could run by itself every night.

→ It's exactly the bottleneck you've been dragging for seven weeks. Give me the green light and I'll leave a one-page case for your planning team before Friday.
At the table

Today's seat goes to a voice inspired by first-principles thinking, on that same bottleneck you've been chasing:

"Andrés, you've spent weeks trying to speed up the bottling line. The problem isn't the machine. It's that production and sales are planning with two different numbers. Stop quoting the new equipment, and sit Mónica and Julián at the same table for one hour. That's where your 15% is. Not in the line."

Your calendar today
  • 8:30 · Sales committee. You're planning to bring total margin. Swap it for margin by channel, which is where the real bleeding is.→ You still haven't decided whether this quarter pushes digital or retail. Tell me which and I'll leave both scenarios on one card before you walk in.
  • 11:00 · The bank. They're going to ask about the expansion. The figure you gave on Tuesday doesn't square with the cash flow you projected that same day.→ I left both figures side by side, so they don't catch you in the contradiction.
  • 4:00 · 1:1 with your plant manager. You've been postponing the hard conversation for two weeks. Every week that passes makes it more expensive. Today.
Follow-ups that must not die

The contract with the logistics operator has gone 12 days without your answer and expires August 8. Nobody else has it on their list.

→ I'll write the message and send it for you. Just tell me if you want it cordial or firm, and it goes out today.
I couldn't tell you how your inbox woke up today. That section switches on by connecting your email. It takes about 10 minutes.
Sign-off

Only one front matters today: the 8:30 committee. Everything else is maintenance. See you tomorrow.

04 · How it gets set up

One afternoon. We sit down and it's running.

1

We sit down

A couple of hours, you and me, at your computer. You give your system a name. You talk to me for 15 minutes about your company, your role, your pains, and the system hands it back organized: your profile, written, right in front of you.

We connect one or two things, the ones that hurt most: email, calendar. And we design your table: guests, topics, tone. You leave the sitting with your first edition generated.

2

You wake up to your program

The next day your brief and your program are waiting. Without you asking for them.

Everything runs on your machine and your accounts. What the system can't do yet, it tells you honestly, and it goes on a list that you own.

3

It grows at your pace

Depending on what you use, we connect more: meetings, follow-ups, WhatsApp.

For the audio there are three paths: you listen with a reader app, I invite you to my studio for a season and it arrives produced, or I set it up fully on your machine. You choose, and you switch paths whenever you want.

05 · What's yours stays with you

The part almost nobody offers: the rules of the game, in writing.

This system touches your email and your calendar. So the rules aren't fine print. They're part of the design.

R1

It lives on your machine and your accounts. The connections talk to your accounts, from your computer. I don't have access to your system.

R2

Nothing of yours flows to me.The boundary is written inside the system itself. If one day you want to share something with me, you send it.

R3

If you use my studio for the audio, I tell you upfront.I see your program's script, nothing else. You decide for how long, and "take me out" happens the same day.

R4

Only your email gets into your page.If your program lives on a page, it opens with a code sent to your email. Nobody else sees it.

06 · Why it exists

It's the same format that has been running for me for months. I built it for my own morning. Now I set it up, in person, for a few people who run large operations.

I do it for two or three people at a time, because I curate the first week of every program myself. This page exists so I don't have to explain it with my hands.
